4:50pm Report of a house with a chimney fire at 2015 NW Nye in Newport. No smoke coming out of the chimney but it is drifting inside the house. 4:54pm Light smoke coming out of the chimney. 5:04pm Some burned insulation found. Will take additional investigating to determine the cause. Minimal damage.
3:10pm Reports of a woman caught in the surf screaming. Several people have tried to help her near 268 Yachats Ocean Road. There is one report that the woman is out of the water, but that the woman remains somewhat hysterical. 3:18pm Confirmed, victim is out of the water.
